Jets still have big holes to fill the way into the NFL design | Their greatest needs for free agency

The jets make a little different this year and focus on young, unproven talents instead of big names that may be over the hill or not. Will it work? It is difficult to say, but we know that the jets could not find all their needs in the free agency and now have to find immediate help on both sides of the ball if you want to have a respectable start of a new era for General Manager Darren Mougey and coach Aaron Glenn.

So which positions need the greatest help? We looked at each other.

Wide receiver

Garrett Wilson is probably one of the best in the league. But you are not an option that will attract the game planning attention of opposing defense, and that will be a problem for Wilson. The only semi -established recipient, all Lazard, is a bad two seasons and is almost certainly asked to take a salary cut. The jets must therefore add a broad recipient to the draft for Wilson and Fields, and they have to add you to one that can make a contribution immediately. And that means that the jets in round 1 or 2 of the design should consider a recipient.

Kicker

Greg Zuerlein earned a contract extension in the amount of 2024 and then fought immediately when the jets needed him the most, and missing kicks that could have changed everything at the beginning of the season. To be honest, it is still difficult to understand why he is on the squad alongside other Carlson, who was struggling last year. Perhaps it is because he still counts against the cap for several million, even if the jets cut it. But in the end we want to believe that the jets will find a better option, because if this is not the case, it will now be difficult for nobody in the changing room or in the fan base to raise claims seriously.

Closest ending

The jets have no caliber end on the squad, with Tyler Conklin signing the chargers at the weekend. In order to record the full extent of the problems in this position, the jets have no average backup on the squad: Stone Smartt, Jeremey jerking, Zack Kuntz, Neal Johnson and Andrew Beck have come together for five career touchdowns. And four of them came from Beck in 2019. The jets have to approach this position, which has been a disaster for more than a decade, with a clear plan – especially with a quarterback that can improvise – and accordingly invest with the effects that can have a close end in an NFL in this passing era.

Defensive tackle

The jets can shuffle somewhat in the offensive line to fill their gaping hole on the right after he let Morgan Moses (to the rivals of the Patriots division) and once again run. But it will not be so easy in the defensive line, especially in the interior, in which quinnen Williams, one of the best in the NFL in its position, and no teammate who will attract the attention of the opposing crimes that will surely take priorities to block Williams and the risk with the rest of the line. This is also a position that the jets should address early in the design. With so many needs that are taken into account/and probably have to be filled early and only three picks in the first three rounds, the jets have some difficult ways to meet.
