Jimmy Butler achieves 25 in the Warriors debut in Bullen

Chicago – Jimmy Butler went into his debut by Golden State Warriors or even the advantage of going through the morning shootaround before standing against the Chicago Bulls on Saturday evening.

Butler was not allowed to take part in the morning walk-through of his squad, since not all players in five team trading with nine players, who landed with Golden State on Wednesday, had completed with Golden State until late Saturday afternoon. So Butler had to let his Warriors open, who know a total of three games that coach Steve Kerr gave him together with a new terminology.

Nevertheless, Butler looked like the player that the Warriors went out and acted before he immediately provided him with a new two-year contract for $ 111 million. He made 7 out of 12 shots, came to the foul line 13 times and scored 25 points to help the Warriors to overcome a 24-point deficit and to ride the bulls 132-111 in the United Center.

His 25 points were the most in a debut for a new team and most of it in a warrior’s first game since Kevin Durant in 2016.

But it was the Aura Butler who was brought to the warriors who, according to Kerr, could not see the most.

“I am most impressed by his death,” said Kerr. “His death changes everything. … the ability to get the strength, the ability to get to the free wire line.

“And in the end it goes beyond. Only his presence out there. He is a lion. He is a force.”

Even the four-time NBA master Stephen Curry and Draymond Green could feel Butler’s effects. For a little more than two quarters, Golden State (26-26) looked as if it were sleeping on a third loss in a row. The bulls (22-31) ran with 83-59 lead with 8:30 in the third quarter.

Then Butler came to the foul line for two of his 11 free throws. Shortly afterwards, Curry exploded and scored 22 points in the final 7:54 of the quarter. When Curry buried his fifth 3 pointer of the quarter, the Warriors led 97-93 with the strength of a 38-10 lightning.

“At no point it was always as if it were possible to drop body language,” said Green. “This is what you saw this year. We are coming down, it’s like a striking mentality. And it was (tonight) why we came back. No problem.”

Green said one main reason for this was Butler’s presence on her side. After the six-time all-star gave the Warriors a different kind of self-confidence that had been missed throughout the season. Green was asked if he, Curry and Kerr had felt a little more of the championships on Saturday evening because of their new teammate.

“A million percent,” said Green. “I would not necessarily say that we have championship outlasting. We have championship tribe tree. The swagger of the championship is what we want to find again.”

And that’s why the Warriors took up Butler, who had a turbulent separation from Miami Heat after six seasons and two NBA final appearances.

For Butler, this seems to be one of the best places to start its 14 -season. The warriors need all of his strengths, including his ability to get to the foul line, to create, drive, kick and defend his own shot inside. All things he can do best are pretty much the “opposite” of what Curry can best, as the Warriors’ franchise player noticed.

While Curry made 8 out of 16 3-in-arms, Butler made an attempt from beyond the arch. And while Curry went into the foul line eight times, Butler turned 11 out of 13 out of 13 and could probably have played more than 29 minutes in his first game since January 21.

Due to several suspensions through the heat, Butler played in his sixth game since December 20.

“Tired. Extremely tired,” said Butler afterwards. “Like someone who was free for a month. Not that I wanted a month free, but I got going a bit. I have to do a lot more conditioning, but I will get it back. It’s just a matter of time. “

After Curry’s barrage in the third quarter, Butler and Green fired the Warriors at the beginning of the fourth quarter to increase their lead to 17 when Curry checked again with just over seven minutes.

Butler made 3 out of 4 shots, including a two-handed dark, and went 4: 4 from the foul line for 10 points in four minutes to seal the game.

Kerr said that he tensed on Butler to help the Warriors close games that they had to do for a large part of the campaign.

“Everyone on the squad, everyone in the coaching team () constantly told me that I am as I am, I myself,” said Butler. “And it will work well.”

“I tried to do what I thought was right,” he added, “and then it was like: ‘Well, everyone tells me I should be, so do it.'”

The only thing that looked different about Butler outside of his conditioning was his jersey.

In addition to wearing a Warriors uniform, he pulls No. 10 for the Brazilian football star Neymar.

And the name on the back of his jerseys is “Butler III.”, An Ode to his late father. Butler said his father died exactly a year ago.

He said that – together with the game on Saturday in Chicago, where he played his first six seasons with his bulls and developed into a star – made it a suitable start in his Warriors’ careers.

“I started my career here,” said Butler. “My father died a year ago. Today, the birthday is one of my very, very, very good friends.

“Life closes and it works in the crazy way.”
