Joe Burrow will pay attention to the “big game” between Broncos and Chargers

The Bengals are not yet eliminated from postseason contention, but at 6-8, their playoff hopes are slim.

They need to win each of their last three games while receiving significant support.

That starts with Thursday night’s game between the Broncos and Chargers. Since Los Angeles beat Cincinnati in Week 11, the Chargers are above the Bengals in the tiebreaker.

Los Angeles could lose and finish 8-9, which would open the door for Cincinnati. The Broncos could lose and finish 9-8, which would also be a possibility if the Colts and Dolphins fall to the bottom three.

That’s why Joe Burrow said in his press conference on Wednesday that he would be keeping an eye on what happens in Los Angeles on Thursday night.

Big game tomorrowBurrow said, via Geoff Hobson of the team’s website. “Be careful. Normally you go straight after your game and check to see if things are happening that should be happening. This is the time of year when you’re always paying attention, whether you’re in our spot or you’re currently seeded and in the playoffs.”

But since Burrow is in the Eastern time zone, he knows he probably won’t watch the entirety of TNF’s broadcast. It will be on…

“Until I fall asleep,” Burrow said. “It’s a little late for me on a Thursday, so I usually watch the first half.”
