Joel Klatt doubles down on criticism of Ripping Lane Kiffin for ‘whining’ about CFP

There were four shutouts in the opening round of the first 12 College Football Playoffs, resulting in many complaints from fans, media members and coaches. One of those coaches happened to be Lane Kiffin, who attacked the CFP committee with a few frustrated tweets over the weekend.

Fox Sports’ Joel Klatt saw these posts from the Ole Miss coach and caused a stir on social media when he tweeted one with the message: “If your team played half as well as you tweet, you’d probably be there.” .”

Ole Miss finished the year 9-3 with losses to Kentucky, LSU and Florida. That season-ending loss to the Gators pushed the Rebels out of playoff contention.

Klatt doubled his chances on Kiffin during his podcast this week.

“Listen, Lane, if you wanted to be in the playoffs, you had your chance,” Klatt said. “In fact, you were there, my man. You were in the playoffs. I love you, but you messed up. “You lost a game you shouldn’t have lost, so you weren’t in the college playoffs and that’s it.”

He continued with this:

“I just didn’t want to hear the whining. I won’t take it back. I’m not sorry I tweeted it. Dear Lane, dear Lane. By the way, some of it was polite. He tweets incredibly. He’s great for college football.” I think it’s great that Lane Kiffin is at OIE Miss and I hope he stays in college football for a long time. Hypothetically, because there’s no proof that you’re wrong .

Hopefully the quarterfinals, which take place on December 31st and January 1st, will be more competitive so we can talk more about the action on the field and less about this silly stuff.
