Jury selection begins for the man charged with murdering a Santa Cruz technology executive

THE 50-year-old Atre was abducted from his home at Pleasure Point last October and found a few hours later in the mountains of Santa Cruz near the property, that belonged to him was found shot. Jury selection begins this week for one of four men charged with the 2019 robbery, kidnapping and murder of Tushar Atre, a Santa Cruz technology executive. Officials say Stephen Lindsay, who formerly worked for Atre, is accused of kidnapping him from his Pleasure Show home. Surveillance video from a neighbor’s home captured the incident. Atre’s body was found the next morning on one of his cannabis properties in the Santa Cruz Mountains.
