The Karen Read Mord Process joined his third day of testimony on Thursday. Further witnesses are expected to take a position.

The jurors heard emotional statements from the friend of the mother of the reading, the murdered police officer in Boston, John O’keefe on Wednesday. By tears, Peggy O’keefe remembered the Good Samaritan Medical Center after receiving a call that her son had been found in a Schneebank on the morning of January 29, 2022.

“He was hurt,” recalled Peggy O’keefe. “His eyes were closed. Just not a good scene.”

Also on Wednesday, Kerry Roberts, John O’Keefe’s long -time girlfriend and one of the two women with Read when she no longer reacted to her friend on a snow -covered lawn in Canton.

The prosecutors claimed that they had intended to drunk their SUV and deliberately secured them in O’keefe, while shortly after midnight on January 29, 2022 at a house party.

But Read’s lawyers claim that she was a “comfortable outsider” who is framed in a huge conspiracy of law enforcement authorities. They claim that O’keefe was actually beaten after leaving the party in the 34 Fairview Road.

The firefighter of Canton and the paramedic Daniel Whitley said on Wednesday that first aiders were given orders to go to the hospital after an evaluation of mental health after discovering her friend’s body.

He said that reading “pretty angry” and cried, although her feelings fluctuated when they traveled to the hospital.

“She kept asking if there was a chance that her husband (sic) could still be alive, and even sitting outside in the snow without showing a coat,” recalled Whitley. He said that firefighters had tried to “give their hope” by telling them about hypothermia in which patients survived in a miraculous way without deficits.

Defense lawyer David Yannetti emphasized the connections of the firefighter to Roberts, one of the neighbors of Whitley, and the leading investigator of the case, the former soldier of the State Police of Massachusetts, Michael Proctor. Whitley and Proctor attended school together, even though they were two years away.
