Kelly Ripa teases Mark Consuelos after he points out they don’t wear ‘Christmas onesies’ like she and Ryan Seacrest have done in years past: ‘Now that you’re here, we need to look dapper’

Ryan Seacrest holds a specific one. Live The memory of the Christmas show is close to his heart.

To Live with Kelly and MarkIn the episode “Merry Monday Morning,” viewers were treated to clips of several stars sharing their favorite vacation memories and of course the Live Among those featured was alum who Mark Consuelos described as “one of her very special friends.”

“Doing the Christmas show was one of the highlights of the year. “I remember looking forward to it so much every year,” Seacrest gushed. “I mean, we had Santa Claus, of course, we had Mariah Carey, we had a choir sometimes.”

However, Seacrest described the “Christmas rompers” that he and Kelly Ripa wore at every Christmas show together as his personal “highlight”.

“It’s so nice to do a show in one-pieces, and we had the opportunity to do that in every single Christmas episode,” he recalled, as clips of him and Ripa donning their Christmas onesies played next to him. “I will miss this. I’ll watch at home in my onesie.”

When the episode returned to Ripa and Consuelos in the studio, Consuelos said, “Aww. We didn’t do a one-piece.”

Ripa teased, “No, now that you’re here, we have to look dapper.”

Consuelos quipped, “No more onesies.”

Tonight’s Christmas special, titled “Miracle on 67th Street,” also marked her final Christmas show at her Upper West Side studio, although Ripa joked that this was “supposedly” true. The two co-hosts gave credit to the studio, whatever the case Livehas been the home of broadcasting for over 40 years.

“A building consists of concrete, steel, windows, walls and floors. But sometimes a building is more than that. Sometimes a building is a home,” Consuelos mused.

Ripa, who started as a co-host Live noted in 2001 that they “have a lot of history here at the corner of 67th and Columbus.”

“We had so much fun and made so many special memories. We may leave this building soon, but we will never forget it Live“s first home,” she added before releasing a tribute video showing previous holiday episodes filmed in the studio.
