Kentucky player seen grabbing snacks while Wildcats were trounced by Louisville

The rivalry between the Kentucky Wildcats and Louisville Cardinals will always feature intense competition between the two programs. This is because they are intrastate rivals and are competing for the Governor’s Cup trophy, a symbol of bragging rights and dominance in the Bluegrass State.

Unfortunately, this year was a blowout as Louisville dominated Kentucky 41-14, ending Kentucky’s five-game winning streak in the series. While the loss itself was disappointing, it wasn’t the craziest story of the day.

Kentucky offensive tackle Gerald Mincey was spotted at the concession stand during the game. Even though Mincey has been out with an injury since the Florida game, the fact that he grabbed snacks in the middle of a game reflects poorly on him and the program.

Simply bad.

With Mincey now finished with his college career, one has to wonder what will change next season after three straight disappointing seasons. Hopefully Mark Stoops and the staff can get it done this offseason and Kentucky can start winning games again and also win a bowl game for the first time since 2021.
