Kevin de Bruyne leaves Manchester City in summer to star magic | Manchester City

Kevin de Bruyne has confirmed that after 10 years at the Etihad Stadium he will leave Manchester City at the end of the season. The Belgian is the most decorated player in the history of the club after he has won 16 medals since his completion from Wolfsburg in 2015.

The city’s captain’s contract expires at the end of June. De Bruyne has physically struggled physically in recent years, and Pep Guardiola has admitted that he needs players who can handle the game to play twice a week.

In a social media contribution in which “Dear Manchester” began, de Bruyne confirmed: “This will be my last months as a Manchester City player. Nothing is easy to write, but as a football player we all know that this day is coming. This day is here -and you deserve to hear it first from me.”

De Bruyne, who will be 34 years old in June, added: “This city. This club. These people … gave me everything. I had no choice but to give everything back! And advise what – we won everything. We like it or not, it is time to say goodbye. Every story ends, but this was definitely the best chapter.

The news comes when City is preparing for playing in Manchester United on Sunday.
