Let King’s interim coach Doug Christie to get a funny answer to the recent commitment of striker Keegan Murray.

And during the joke on the subject.

“When I saw the picture, I told him the fact that you got on a knee, tell me that you can keep up in defense, so plan it,” joked Christie on Friday with reporters.

During the All-Star weekend, 24-year-old Murray engages with his long-time girlfriend Carly in Napa.

Christie, a married man himself, also expressed the excitement of the Murray team, who ironically improved his defensive game this season.

“We were happy for him,” added Christie. “Well done. He is a great child and I am sure that he will be a great husband.”

This season, Murray scored an average of 12 points and 7.1 rebounds in a career high of 36 minutes. It shoots 43.5 percent from the field and 32.2 percent.

But as Christie alludes: Murray, now engaged, his defensive game has to make so much more talk about.
