What happens in La Palma?

Tourists on board a glass-bottomed boat are killed in a freak accident on the picturesque island of La Palma. Days later, Fredrik (Baasmo) and Jennifer (Berdal) and their children Sara (Günther) and Tobias (Storm Lager) arrive on the island for their annual vacation and are happy when they receive a major room upgrade. But their luck could soon run out. Geologists Marie (Loch Næss) and Haukur (Ólafsson) discover that an inevitable volcanic eruption could wreak havoc not only on the island, but on every continent. When La Palma is hit by a series of earthquakes, Marie and Haukur have to convince their boss Álvaro (de Juan) to take immediate action.
