La tracking: suspicious towing car arrested in Sherman Oaks

A man in a supposedly stolen towing car was taken into custody after a wild persecution in Los Angeles.

Timetable:

The chase began shortly after 1 p.m. in the Sawtelle district of West La.

Skyfox was over the vehicle when it drove on Sepulveda BLVD. Near the Getty Center in Brentwood.

Pictures from Skyfox showed the driver with his head outside the window and seemed to wave something in his hand.

During the persecution, the vehicle drove at a speed of about 20 miles per hour or less.

One of his front tires was gone and unveiled the edge.

At 1:40 p.m. the driver made his way to Encino.

When he Ventura BLVD. approached, the tow truck ventured through the traffic and switched off the side of another truck and took out his left mirror.

When the driver on Ventura BLVD. Hung from the car through the driver’s window, waved and screamed.

End of persecution

The persecution ended shortly before 2 p.m. near the intersection of Ventura and Sepulveda Boulevards opposite the Sherman Oaks Galleria.

Several police cars lined the street to get out when the suspect refused. The man was seen as he spoke to the police and seemed to show them some money that was in his hand.

He finally went away from the vehicle and the police were able to take custody without incidents.

The Ventura and Sepulveda boulevards were closed for some time in both directions.

What we don’t know:

It is unclear how the man got the AAA towing car under control.
