Lacey Chabert Celebrates Her 40th Hallmark Movie With The Christmas Quest (Exclusive)

Lacey Chabert is approaching a major milestone with her latest Hallmark Christmas movie. A Christmas questis about to debut: her 40th Hallmark film.

The Mean Girls The 42-year-old actress first appeared on the network in 2010 Elevator girla modern retelling of Cinderella which also starred Ryan Merriman.

“It’s crazy, right?! I’m so, so proud of it,” she tells PEOPLE of the milestone. “It’s really surreal.”

She continues: “When I made the first one, I never thought it would become what it has and I’m just so proud of it and the journey and the excitement that making 40 films has brought me has brought itself.” life. It was just a nice experience.”

A Christmas quest follows Chabert as an archaeologist who teams up with her ex-husband (played by Kristoffer Polaha), a Norse language expert, to find a legendary treasure in Iceland. She and Polaha filmed it Indiana Jones-style adventure film set in Iceland.

“She’s great. She’s everything,” Polaha told PEOPLE of Chabert during the event Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story Premieres November 30th in Kansas City. “I understand why it’s the GOAT of holiday movies. … And she’s just so nice and so professional and smart.”

“Our film is huge and beautiful and I can’t wait for people to see it,” he adds.

“It was a lot of fun,” Chabert says of filming with Polaha on a glacier and in ice caves across Iceland.

On Instagram, Polaha called the experience “one of the highlights of 2024. … So many moments and memories. So grateful for everything.”

But The Christmas Search is not Chabert’s only Christmas film this year: she also stars in Netflix’s hit romantic comedy Hot frostywhich premiered earlier this year.

“Everyone knows I love Christmas and I love, love, love making these Christmas movies,” she says. “Having the opportunity to expand and do this twice this year was just an exciting experience.”
