Landon Avory Akins – Exploreclarion

Landon Avory Akins, our beloved son, 16 from Cadogan, died tragically on Saturday, March 22, 2025.

He was born in Kittanning August 4, 2008 and was the estimated son of Leighan (Greg) Berry and the late Barry Alan (surviving Ami) Akins, Jr.

Landon visited Armstrong Jr./Sr. High school and planned to visit Lenape Tech to create a brilliant future. He loved to ride his dirt bike with all his friends, to drive with AWRCs, fish, hunt and camp. Landon loved spending time with his family, was looking forward to the deer camp every year and really enjoyed the campfires in the Riggle House.

Landon had an absolute joie de vivre and always shared his love with the large number of friends who were made during his short 16 years. It is missing by so many and appreciated for the rest of our lives. May he rest in peace.

He was preceded by his father “Bear” Akins in death, from whom we are sure he initiated him to heaven; Pap Tim Berry, Sr.; Great-grandparents, Big Pap-BB-Ninny Arthur (Martha) Akins, Carl (Stella) Trusiak, Robert (Irene) Cypher and Donald (Martha) Knappenberger.

Landon is survived by his parents Leughann and Greg Berry, Ami Akins; Siblings, Lanna Marie (Dustin) of Cadogan, Hunter (Genevieve) from Tarantum, Nikayla (Kelley) of Oakmont and Elijah von Vandergrift; Großeltern, Robert (Kim) Knappenberger from Leechburg, Charles and Laurie Toy of Kittanning; Barry and Cynthia “Nin and Pop” Akins, Sr., Sandra Berry; David (Deb) Weaver and Lynus (Peggy) Barr from Vandergrift; His best buddy Corey Riggle; Great -grandmother Shirley Fouse; Uncle Craig (Reona) Akins, Bobby Knappenberger, Timothy Berry, Anthony Berry, Jake Berry, Charlie Toy and Kevin Toy; Aunts, Angela Berry and Joann Toy; Many, many cousins, large aunt and large -scale, large family; His good buddies from Burrell Township and elsewhere.

The visit will take place on Thursday, March 27, 2025 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Mantini Funeral Home, Inc., 701 six Avenue, Ford City.

The additional visit will take place on Friday, March 28, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m., at 11 a.m. in the funeral company with Pastor Lee Rupert. Funeral at the Fairview Cemetery, Spring Church.

Wake takes place immediately after celebrating Landon’s life in Burrell Township Firehall.
