Laugh at (Tom) Hardy in “Venom The Last Dance” Gag Reel (Exclusive)

Is there anything more beautiful than the sweet, sweet smile of Tom Hardy? We’d bet the answer is no, absolutely not. For those of you out there who could use a dose of laughter mixed with the pretty face of… Mad Max: Fury Road Star, you’ve come to the right place at Collider because we’re here to take an exclusive look at the gag reel for Venom: The Last Dance with you. Across a trilogy of films, Hardy’s Eddie Brock and his symbiote sidekick Venom have made us laugh – whether intentionally or not – and now we’re taking a look behind the scenes and seeing how much fun it was making the final film.




There’s something about a perceived as a tough guy like Hardy giggling like an idiot during a variety of outtakes, simply softening our cold, dead hearts. It’s clear that the actor had a lot of fun completing the trilogy, with a behind-the-scenes look at him riding the horse possessed by Venom while the biggest smile you’ve ever seen spread across his face Face flashes. Reprising her role from the first two films in the series, Peggy Lu She is seen practicing her moves for the well-choreographed dance scene and is clearly having fun doing something out of the ordinary for her character, Mrs. Chen. Laughter is often contagious, and the blooper reel also gives viewers insight into comedic moments for other cast members, including Chiwetel Ejiofor, Juno TempleAnd Rhys Ifans.


The last film in the Poison trilogy saw Eddie Brock and the titular symbiote on a cross-country adventure. However, the pair don’t get far from the West Coast before they are tracked down by a xenophage who wants to pick up Venom/Eddie’s codex. The drama comes to a head – where else – in Area 51, which is about to be decommissioned by the US government. In addition to dealing with the threat of the giant spider-like aliens, also Venom and Eddie have their hands full with members of the US military.


The future of Venom


The Last Dance has long been touted as the final film from Hardy’s take on the comic book character. However, those who stuck around past the credits know that there’s a glimmer of hope that the world’s favorite symbiote will return later for another round of laughs. Regardless of Hardy’s fate with the character, there’s a good chance Venom: Let There Be Carnage Director and Knull actor, Andy Serkiscould play a larger role in the Sony and Marvel universe in the future. During an appearance at FanExpo San FranciscoSerkis explained at a panel moderated by ScreenRant how he ended up playing the role of the main antagonist and also hinted at his future with the franchise.

“Well, that’s very interesting too. I really have no idea. It was very much, “Can you come in?” It was actually quite late. “Can you come in and do the voice for Knull?” So I came in and did it on stage. Then there was talk of, ‘This could go on… He’s a pretty big character,’ and I said, ‘Yeah, I know that.’ Well, let’s see what actually happens.”
