Lavar Ball confirms the legs amputated by diabetes and describes several operations

Lavar Ball has confirmed that his leg was amputated due to diabetes.

A month after TMZ reported that the father of basketball stars Lonzo, Langelo and Lamelo Ball had amputated his leg, Ball confirmed the news in an interview with Strike Magazine.

Ball, 57, told the magazine that he was subjected to the procedure in January – and found that the timing coincided with Langelos song “Tweaker” viral.

“I had an infection on my foot that spread through my blood because I hadn’t paid attention to my diabetes,” said Ball. “I had to have my leg amputated. First they cut a few toes. Then they cut my foot. Then we said that we have to almost get up for another operation. ‘”

The businessman said there were a total of three operations and four blood transfusions.

Ball said the doctors told him that his infection had become so bad that they were “very close to completing them”.

“But they were quick enough to give me the blood transfusions and not to go through my body,” said Ball. He announced that things would probably have gotten worse if he had never gone to the doctor.

“If I don’t go to Christmas at the end of last year to look at this infection (an infection) that has been around for a month or two, this would be a different kind of history” Strike.

His loved ones were a large part of what brought him through his health trip and showed him that he was “here for a greater purpose” – especially after he started asking whether it was worth going through sometimes.

“I’m the big baller. I am difficult to kill. But I have to admit that my boys kept me up to running. Because a few times I said: ‘I can no longer do blood transfusions. I can no longer do operations. I am only ready to complete it. It is enough for me,” said ball.

He hopes that others are motivated by his history to take their health seriously, and for those with diabetes to observe their sugar intake. Experience has left him with a different attitude.

“I have replaced a lot of limbs. I am difficult to kill. I have a few bigger things that the big baller still has to do. And this type above brought me here for a certain reason,” he said to Strike. “And I’ll make it.”
