Let’s take a moment to appreciate Jaden McDaniels

Jaden McDaniels’ offensive game seemed to be on an upward way in his first three seasons with the wolves, whereby his firing volume, efficiency and gates gradually improved every year.

And then it suddenly seemed to be standing last season. The average value of McDaniels dropped from 12.1 to 10.5 points per game from year 3 to year 4.

Perhaps more alarming, it was impossible to know what he could deliver from night to night, with a number of single-digit exits that were tempting through a 20-point game that turned out to be Mirage. That was also the story for the first part of this season, with McDaniels scored an average of 9.9 points in his first 39 games and achieved in individual figures in 21 points.

When Donte Divincenzo and Julius Randle injuries created a new added value for the wolves, it started a new version of McDaniels. He has scored in two numbers in 24 of the wolves of the wolves, including five 20-point games in the last nine.

Randle and Divincenzo play difficult minutes again, but McDaniels is still aggressively in the offensive das latest example is a 29-point outbreak in a win on Wednesday against Charlotte, the third time in a row for Minnesota.

When I talked about the duration of Thursday in the daily delivery podcast on Thursday, McDaniel’s Surge came at a great time. It would also have changed the story about its future and that of the core of the wolves.

At the beginning of the 2023-24 season, McDaniels agreed to extend a contract by five years by $ 136 million, a deal that came after his offensive ascent and offensive decline.

For the next year and a half, McDaniels still had worthwhile due to its defensive excellence/versatility and occasional offensive helpfulness. But the downward trend in his offensive game threatened to make his contract look like for a mostly one-dimensional player a year.
