Liberty QB Kaidon Salter plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal

Freedom QB Kaidon Salter announced his plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal on Monday.

Salter made those intentions known this afternoon with a long graphic post on social media.

“We will forever remember the ups and downs we shared! #AGTG,” Salters captioned the post.

“As I move forward and enter the transfer portal, I will always cherish the memories and invaluable lessons I learned here,” Salter wrote. “It is time for me to take the next step in my journey and do what I believe is best for my career. Nonetheless, the relationships I built at Liberty will always be personal and close to my heart.”

Salters spent the last four seasons with the Flames. This happened after I originally committed to it Tennessee before being fired from the Volunteers the summer before his freshman year after the program made two arrests and suspensions.

Over the course of his career at Liberty, Salters appeared in 35 games, starting two games with a redshirt, before appearing in 33 more games, including 29 as a starter. In those games, the Salters posted a passing percentage of 412-702 (58.7%) for 5,887 yards, 56 touchdowns and 17 interceptions. He also rushed for 2,013 yards and 21 more scores.
