Light snow, heavy rain predicted

Forecast of the National Weather Service forecasting, three storm systems are pursuing that are scheduled to arrive in Louisville this week.

Louisville was able to see a minor snow accumulation on Monday evening and early Tuesday morning, the weather service said in a statement on Sunday. The residents near the Corridor of Interstate 64 are most likely to be as it accumulates.

From Sunday morning to Wednesday morning, Louisville was able to receive up to 2 inch snow, according to the snow forecast of the national weather service. Lexington, Frankfurt, Richmond and Danville could see up to 3 inches until 7 a.m. on Wednesday.

South Central Kentucky is expected to receive rain on Monday evening, which could sometimes be difficult, the NWS wrote on Sunday.

Further precipitation will go through Kentucky and Indiana later a week. The national weather service said that moderately to heavy rain will arrive in the Louisville area on Wednesday evening.

Tuesday evening: One chance of rain and snow showers before 10 p.m., then a chance of snow showers between 10 p.m. and 1 a.m. with a low defeat of around 31. The probability of a precipitation is 40%.
