Liverpool discover asking price for Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez

Liverpool have reportedly learned the asking price for Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez ahead of the January transfer window. Kerkez has developed into one of the best left-backs in the Premier League this season and is therefore attracting interest from numerous clubs.

Since joining the club from AZ Alkmaar last summer, the 21-year-old has been a joy to watch on the south coast. He scored his first Premier League goal in Bournemouth’s 4-2 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.

Kerkez has made 13 appearances for the Cherries this season, scoring three goals. In total, he appeared in 46 games, scoring one goal and providing three assists in all competitions.

The Hungarian international is considered a replacement for Andy Robertson. Robertson has struggled for form this season and with his contract expiring in the summer of 2026, the Red are already considering life after the 30-year-old Scotland captain.

According to CaughtOffside, Liverpool have increased their interest in Bournemouth star Kerkez, who is ready to leave his current club in January. The Reds will face stiff competition for Kerkez’s signing from fellow Premier League clubs Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa. Borussia Dortmund is also interested in the highly valued defender.

According to the report, Bournemouth are likely to demand at least £40m to let Kerkez leave in January. Liverpool have long been admirers of the left-back, although Wolves’ Rayan Ait-Nouri is also on the shortlist for the position.

Arne Slot is interested in strengthening his team to remain competitive after a strong start to the season. The Dutchman has won 16 of 18 games across all competitions since Jürgen Klopp took over in the summer.

Liverpool lead the Premier League table with 31 points, six points ahead of second-placed Arsenal, who have played a game more than the Reds. The Reds face defending champions Manchester City on Sunday and a win would extend their lead to 11 points over Pep Guardiola’s side, who are winless in their last six games in all competitions.

The Meyersiders have already reached the round of 16 of the Champions League or the play-offs of the knockout phase after a 2-0 win over Real Madrid at Anfield Road, the fifth league win in a row for the Reds. They also made it to the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup.
