Local dermatology and cosmetic clinic celebrates its 20th anniversary

IDAHO FALLS – Mountain West Dermatology and Esthetics recently celebrated two decades of business in Eastern Idaho.

The clinic, located at 3425 Merlin Drive in Idaho Falls, offers general dermatology care as well as cosmetic services such as peels, facials and facial hair removal, as well as microneedling, including PRP.

Since 2022, the company has launched “Gentle Cure Oncology” to offer image-guided superficial radiation therapy (IG-SRT) to treat skin cancer without surgery. This cutting-edge therapy is very popular among patients with skin cancer on the face or sensitive areas such as the nose or ear.

Meeting patient demand was a challenge, especially when it came to scheduling appointments. That’s why the clinic now offers consultations to give patients more flexibility and control over their skin care.

“We are pleased to announce a no-appointment walk-in dermatology clinic in Idaho Falls – Derm Quick Care. Our goal is to give patients the flexibility to come in when they have time and have their skin concerns addressed the same day by a qualified professional “Have a dermatologist examine you,” says Dr. Mark Hinkson in a press release.

Dr. Hinkson was hired by Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center to meet the need for dermatology care in Idaho Falls and opened his practice in August 2004.

“Coming to Idaho was a great move for me and my family. My wife grew up in the area and we were excited to raise our family here,” says Hinkson.

The Mountain West Dermatology team now includes Drs. Mark Hinkson, Rob Willis PA-C, Krystal Ray, PA-C and Wendy Christiansen, Licensed Esthetician.

Mountain West Dermatology and Esthetics is grateful to its patients and those who have supported the practice over the past 20 years. The team looks forward to serving the community for many years to come.

At Derm Quick Care the principle “first come, first served” applies. The team recommends patients arrive earlier in the day to ensure they receive the care they need.

Entry times are Tuesday to Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m

“We are excited to offer this unique approach,” Ray said in a press release. “Be it rashes or warts, acne, moles and skin cancer examinations, we take care of everything that has to do with dermatology. We do what we do best, no appointment necessary.”
