Nabers and Harrison lead the strong class of rookie receivers

We’re in the second half of the season and I think it’s still arguable whether Marvin Harrison or Malik Nabers will be the better professional in the long term. Right now, Harrison is doing a better job of getting the ball into the end zone, while Nabers is catching a lot more passes.

They both look good. In a dynasty draft, I think both of the top half dozen wide receivers would be selected – guys who look like they have plenty of top-10 seasons left.

Harrison caught half of Arizona’s 12 touchdown passes. But it wasn’t used that much in general; he only caught 36 passes. And there were some horrendous drops (against the Bills and Packers). But it looks like he’s growing up to be something special.

Nabers has only caught 3 touchdowns, including none since Week 3, but he has been more of the focal point of his team’s offense. Despite missing two games, he caught more than twice as many passes (Harrison caught six passes in just one game, while Nabers caught at least six passes in eight of his 10 games).

Nabers isn’t afraid to criticize the offense, especially when he doesn’t get the ball enough. This will likely cause some controversy in the future (it is uncertain who will coach the team and who will serve as quarterback). But at least Nabers is out there advocating for those who drafted him to fantasy teams.

I would love to select one of these pass catchers in a draft.

Every Saturday during the regular season, I turn to the dynasty leagues and rotate between the four notable positions. I assume a PPR rating and have marked newcomers with black dots.
