Lopetegui could make a big change – prediction for West Ham XI vs Arsenal

West Ham United will welcome Arsenal to the London Stadium on Saturday.

The Hammers are in high spirits after securing a 2-0 win over Newcastle United thanks to goals from Tomas Soucek and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

West Ham will look to build on that performance but face a strong Gunners team.

With two goals conceded in two games, Lukasz Fabianski is a guaranteed starter between the posts. Alphonse Areola is available for selection but will sit on the bench.

Lopetegui could be forced to make a change in defense as the Hammers sweat over the fitness of Jean Clair-Todibo. The centre-back’s injury is not serious but he could be out.

Konstantinos Mavropanos failed to impress but he will probably get the chance to prove a point against Arsenal.

The Greece international will play in central defense alongside Max Kilman, while Wan-Bissaka and Emerson Palmieri will play on the wings.

Carlos Soler justified his starting role on Monday and could once again join Lucas Paqueta and Soucek in the center.

With Mohammed Kudus still suspended, Crysencio Summerville looks set to retain his starting place after a spirited performance against Newcastle.

With Danny Ings their only alternative and Niclas Fullkrug still injured, Michail Antonio will once again lead the attack.

West Ham’s expected starting lineup: Fabianski; Wan-Bissaka, Mavropanos, Kilman, Emerson; Soucek, Paqueta; Bowen, Soler, Summerville; Antonio.
