Louisiana 90s Kids – Can you name these Nickelodeon Nicktoons?

It’s a typical school day in Louisiana, except we haven’t turned the clock back quite three decades. You come home from classes at Judice Middle in Judice, Louisiana, Central Middle School in Baton Rouge, or maybe you went to Fatima or Cathedral, people in Lafayette know those schools. And while you may not remember much of what you learned in these schools, there’s a good chance you’ll remember what you did after school.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but we’re not looking for quite that many. In fact, we are only looking for a few. In fact, for those of you who fondly identify as a ’90s kid, we’re hoping to bring back a few after-school memories.

If you’re looking for a term that the census might use to classify you, we’re basically talking about people born anywhere between 1981 and 1990. That would make you an “older” Millennial. But for our purposes, we’re basically talking to anyone who can remember at least part of the ’90s, particularly the part of the ’90s that took place between the last bell and dinner.

In today’s terms we would probably describe you as middle-aged. Yes, time flies, doesn’t it? One day you’re sipping Sunny D and playing video games, and then suddenly you’re sipping high-quality orange juice, playing video games and your back hurts.

That’s why we have a little challenge for you here. We took a single screenshot from a cartoon that was popular in the 1990s. Many of these shows appeared on the cable channel Nickelodeon. Sing it with me Nick Nick Nick Nick Nickelodeon.

Almost as catchy as the Chili’s Baby Back Ribs jingle, right?

Can you identify the Nicktoon from each recording? Oh, you’re damn right, we didn’t put any characters in the picture. You have to figure out the show by the artwork, the art style, and maybe the color scheme. Let’s see how many of those brain cells you killed when you beat up White Claws. To quote a certain pirate: “Are you ready, children?”
