GOOD EVENING. I’M MARK VANDERHOFF JEFFERSONVILLE. Jeffersonville police are now searching for suspects after two men were killed in two separate murders. WLKY’S JAMIE MAYES TALKS TO CONCERNED NEIGHBORS ABOUT RECENT VIOLENCE. NEIGHBORS IN SOUTHERN INDIANA SAY THEY’RE nervous. I HAVE BEEN GOING THROUGH ALL KINDS OF FEELINGS RIGHT NOW, MORE THAN ANYTHING, I AM SAD. Jeffersonville police are currently investigating two murders that occurred over the course of three days. The most recent event happened on Saturday morning at 740am. Officers were called to the 500 block of Indiana Avenue for a death investigation. When they arrived, they found 45-year-old James TRUMAN dead inside the home. And the fact that it happened next door kind of surprised me. JIM BLANTON, who lives near the crime scene, says he was dismayed when he learned a neighbor had been killed. I’m sorry. I mean, this is just another young person today who has fallen into meaninglessness. THEN, ON THURSDAY, JEFFERSONVILLE POLICE SAID THEY RESPONDED TO THE 200 BLOCK OF COP AVENUE AT 10:20 THAT NIGHT. A 34-year-old victim was at the crime scene. According to investigators, a man called police and said he had been shot. Officials say when they arrived near the 200 block of COBB AVENUE here, they found the victim. He was taken to the hospital and died. Now a 19-year-old is wanted in connection with his death. Officials say a murder warrant has been issued for Anthony White. JANETTA MCCOY SAYS RECENT VIOLENCE IN THE CITY HAS MADE HER MORE CONCERNED ABOUT SAFETY. You don’t know what’s out there anymore. You just don’t know. And I’m just scared, man. AND MCCOY SAYS SHE HOPES THE VIOLENCE WILL END. SO THAT THERE IS MORE PEACE IN THE CITY. THERE IS NO MORE BROTHERLY LOVE. Jeffersonville police responded to the 500 block of Indiana Avenue at approximately 7:43 a.m. Nov. 23 for a death investigation. Check out our previous coverage in the player above. Officers arrived and 45-year-old James Truman was found dead inside the home. At the time of the incident, police believed it was an isolated incident. Jeffersonville police said Wednesday 55-year-old William Davis of Louisville was arrested and charged with murder and theft. Davis was arrested in Louisville by the Louisville Metro Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit. Jeffersonville police said the investigation is ongoing.

On Wednesday, Jeffersonville police said 55-year-old William Davis of Louisville was arrested and charged with murder and theft.

Davis was arrested in Louisville by the Louisville Metro Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit.

Jeffersonville police said the investigation is ongoing.
