Loyola players passing Sister Jean weren’t as bad as it looked

This week, a horrific video surfaced of some Loyola men’s basketball players completely missing Sister Jean, the school’s beloved supporter and counselor, as she delivered a greeting on the way to the tunnel.

Sister Jean gained national prominence during the 2018 men’s NCAA Tournament when 11th-seeded Loyola reached the Final Four with an unforgettable Cinderella run.

Even at 105, she still manages to cheer on the Ramblers. However, this viral moment sparked major surprise as it looked like Sister Jean was left out in the cold as she tried to give the team some love after Tuesday’s home win against Eastern Michigan.

If you look closely, you can see in the short excerpt that a player greets Sister Jean on the way to the tunnel and the two who don’t greet her are distracted by something and seem to unintentionally miss her completely.

Nobody likes it when Sister Jean gets stuck, but it’s really no big deal. We can pretty much say that no one on Loyola’s men’s basketball team intentionally tried to ignore her. As you were.
