Luis Arraez to place a concussion

April 21: Arraez is located in the brain coating protocol and is in the 7-day concussion IL, via Kevin Acee des San Diego Union-Tribune. The Mason McCoy Infieldder is called back as the corresponding step.

April 20, November 22, 2011: In the apparently good news, Arraez returned to the Padres Clubhouse Postgame and happily talked to teammates Kevin Acee about the reports of San Diego Union-Tribune. Arraez will stay in Houston overnight, but could join the team in Detroit tomorrow.

7:23 p.m.: During an interview in the game with Espn’s Buster Olney, Padres manager Mike Shildt said that initial concerns about Arraez ‘neck and jaw were. Shildt Arraez said for the latter “Has a little cut on the jaw, we are worried about the jaw, the stability of it. “” (Hut tip to the Chandler Rome of athletics)

6:53 p.m.: Padres designated Schlagmann Luis Arraez After a big collision with Astros Second Baseman, an obvious head or neck injury suffered Mauricio Dubon In today’s game. Arraez was thrown out on the first basis when he tried to block for a base goal, and ran head across Dubon’s shoulder while the second Baseman covered the bag. Arraez was on the field at the bottom and almost motionless and had to be held as soon as his head and neck area was stabilized by a bracket. He was aware and gave up a thumbs while it was removed from the field.

The Padres delivered an update on their X account and said that Arraez was “C”Urrent stable, consciously, fast -reactions and able to move its extremities. “The infielder receives a further examination and treatment in a hospital in Houston.

We will undoubtedly receive more updates in the course of the evening, but at least Araez seems to go to the injured list (either the normal 10-day il or the seven-day IL for problems with core conceals). In view of the fact that the incident looked scary, one can only hope that Arraez has avoided any kind of serious injuries to the neck or head that would affect his daily life so as not to mention anything about his baseball career.

Arraez joined a solid .287/.330/.425 in his first 95 record appearances of the 2025 season tonight and again acted as an everyday Baseman of San Diego. The extreme contact slider was essentially the hardest striker in the baseball since he gave his MLB debut with the twins in 2019, although Arraez ‘contact rarely translated into any power. The old school’s approach was undoubtedly productive, since Arraez is the only player in the history of sport who won three consecutive striking titles with three different teams-Er won the Al-Schlagkrone with the twins in 2022, with the Marlins in 2023 and mostly with the Padres in 2024 after Miami had taken him into the burden with San Diego 33.

Arraez made this relapse -a fan favorite, and his contributions were seen as a catalyst for San Diego in 2024 in 2024. Since Arraez will certainly have to miss some time after the collision from this evening, he has to represent another key player on the injured list. The brothers are already trying to Yu darvishPresent Jackson MerrillPresent Jake CronenworthAnd others, but San Diego took a record of 15: 6 in Houston in Houston this evening.
