Macon teen arrested for car theft; Weapons, ammunition recovered by BSO

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office (BSO) has arrested two teenagers in connection with a car theft investigation.

According to BSO, investigators discovered a stolen Kia Soul just before 11:30 p.m. Monday evening. The car was reported stolen on Friday.

The car and suspects were seen at the Citgo on Rocky Creek Road. Investigators attempted to make contact with the suspects, but both fled on foot toward a wooded area.

After a short chase, investigators were able to arrest the suspects.

BSO said weapons, ammunition and an extended magazine were recovered along with the stolen vehicle. BSO added that one of the weapons was also stolen.

K’Shon Altorious Dean, 17, and Jontraevious Markell Robinson, 17, of Macon were taken to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center and charged with theft. Dean also faces a probation violation.

Robinson was currently in custody for armed robbery, theft of a motor vehicle and aggravated assault. BSO said both suspects had their bonds denied.

The incident remains under investigation and additional charges are pending. Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at (478) 751-7500.
