“Make America Sick Again”: The Internet fights back against RFK Jr.’s anti-vaccination stance

It’s no surprise that people like Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will take us back to the Dark Ages. I’m referring to his stance on vaccinations and his inability to see why they are important. A new interview reveals a haunting future for children.

If you can understand what Kennedy is saying, good for you. But in an interview shared by Republicans Against Trump, he talks about how “no one takes the smallpox vaccine.” He’s not wrong, but that’s how it is Because of vaccines that help eradicate diseases. Kennedy’s concern is that he believes the vaccines haven’t been tested safely and… he’s just making something up at this point.

He claimed that vaccines were “exempt” from safety testing (that’s not true), and he pushed a narrative he’s been promoting for some time: the false idea that vaccines cause other diseases. It’s hilarious to watch the video clip of Kennedy showing the interviewer just staring at him. The video then shows Kennedy saying he wouldn’t have mandatory vaccinations, saying, “I think parents need to have a choice.”

This is extremely dangerous because many diseases have been eradicated at a young age through the use of vaccines. So what Kennedy says would inevitably lead to children having diseases we haven’t seen in decades and perhaps even centuries. Why? Because he has a certain idea of what vaccines actually do.

As one X user pointed out in replies to the video, Kennedy’s slogan should actually be “Make America Sick Again.” Because unfortunately that is exactly what will happen. People will end up getting sick because this man will be responsible for our health and that is terrible.

Many of Kennedy’s claims come from opponents of vaccination mandates. Vaccines have been debunked as causing things like autism (a common lie by anti-vaxxers). But what people like Kennedy do is use the same lies over and over again until more people believe them to be true. He does not base his information on actual facts. What he believes is the truth and it is frightening.

In the past, you couldn’t go to school without appropriate vaccinations. This protected children and prevented the spread of completely preventable diseases. Now somehow public health has become an overly politicized thing and we have a man who had dead worms in his brain and was telling everyone what to do with his body.

We will make America “sick” again because he will end up bringing back things that haven’t been in this country in decades. All because he thinks he knows more than a doctor. Last time I checked (two seconds ago), Kennedy didn’t have a medical degree. What exactly does this American history and literature course do to help public health? This is all terrible and I am afraid of what will come from our country.
