Bolton Central started their clash on Friday with five straight wins… but they were eliminated with six. They defeated the Crown Point Panthers by a score of 57-44. Given the Eagles’ lead in the MaxPreps New York basketball rankings (they’re ranked 134th while the Panthers are ranked 549th), the result wasn’t entirely unexpected.

Bolton Central’s win was a real team effort with many players putting in solid performances. Perhaps the best of them was Jadynn Egloff, who scored 22 points. The team also received support from Maille Kelley, who scored 16 points.

Bolton Central increased their record to 8-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight road win. The wins were thanks to their offensive performance over that stretch, as they averaged 60.2 points per game. As for Crown Point, they are on a 10-game losing streak (dating back to last season) and have fallen to 0-6.

Bolton Central wasted no time getting back on the court and has already played its next contest, a 44-20 win over Seton Catholic Central on the 13th. It didn’t take long for Crown Point to get back on the court either: They did already played their next game, a 60-29 loss to Hartford Central on the 11th.
