Design and build a fairy land
Get in touch with your inner whimsy by hand-building fairy houses in the Antiques West gallery. Participants can create their own fairytale-sized structures using natural materials such as bark, stone and wood. The event is free and open to the public.
When: 2nd – 9th December

Winter Art Sale
Are you looking for a special gift this holiday season? Then look no further than the Winter Art Sale, organized by the College of Visual and Performing Arts and the Shaped Clay Society. Items for sale include posters, prints, jewelry, glassware and vintage printed clothing. Whether you’re shopping for someone else or buying something new for yourself, the items are sure to be creative and original. This event is public.
When: Tuesday-Thursday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m

Artist Talk: This Woman’s Work, Community Quilting & Storytelling ProjectLearn more about the contributions of Black women in Central New York through This Woman’s Work, Community Quilting & Storytelling Project with Dr. Rochele A. Royster. The exhibition includes contributions from 10 artists, each focusing on an important contribution by a black woman from 1733 onwards. The art focuses on themes of community care and mutual aid. The event is free and open to the public.
When: Thursday, 6-8 p.m

Art break: creating art in the cozy season
Treat yourself to a break from the hectic Christmas season with a cozy craft evening. The Syracuse University Art Museum is hosting a card-making workshop with hot drinks and snacks. Stamps, ribbons and other drawing materials are provided for individual design of the cards. This event is free and open to everyone.
When: Friday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m
