New South Wales Police arrested a 31-year-old man in Canley Height at 12.30pm on Sunday.

“He was taken to Fairfield police station where he was charged with two counts of murder,” a spokeswoman said.

“He was refused bail to appear in Parramatta Magistrates Court later today.”

In a shocking twist, the spokeswoman revealed that police would claim the trio were “known to each other”.

In the hours after the murder, footage circulated on social media of a man dressed head to toe in black climbing onto the roof of the snack bar.
