Man killed in western Idaho crash

The following is a news release from the Idaho State Police.

GRANGEVILLE – Idaho State Police are investigating a single-vehicle fatal crash that occurred on US95 near milepost 236.5 south of Grangeville.

At approximately 5:07 a.m. Sunday, a 30-year-old male driver from Lewiston was traveling south on US95 in a 2003 Ford F350 pickup when he veered off the right side of the road. The pickup then rolled over several times and came to rest with the driver’s side against a fence. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle. He then died from his injuries at the scene of the accident. Next of kin have been notified.

The highway was not closed.

Idaho State Police were assisted by the Idaho County Sheriff and the Idaho Department of Transportation.

The incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
