On Friday evening for 20 minutes, the seed in Houston in number 1 dealt with another disappointing sweet 16 exit.

Houston had the ball on the baseline under his own basket with 2.8 seconds in a tie game. Uzan was the inbound man and found the striker Joseph Tugler on the trail of the Inbound’s pass. Uzan then stepped under the basket, and Tugler gave him the ball back with a bounce pass.

It was not a purdue defender in sight, and Uzan dropped the game-prunating layup before the help of defense could arrive.
