March Madness Live updates: sweet 16 points and results

What a game!

Jase Richardson, the Michigan State Guard, celebrates against Ole Miss while the Spartan victory.

Michigan State survives a fear of Ole Miss and won 73-70 to achieve the first elite night of the program since 2019.

It took a while, but the Spartaners found their offensive rhythm in the second half and exceeded the rebels in the second half with 42: 37.

Under the direction of the 20 points and six rebounds by Star Freshman Jase Richardson and the 15 points of Coen Carr, the Spartans await the winner of No. 1 Seed Auburn and No. 5 Seed Michigan.

An emotional Tom Izzo was enthusiastic about the victory, but admitted that his team “didn’t play very well” and gave Ole Miss recognition.

“Give this boys recognition, crashed back in the second half,” Izzo told the CBS program. “Better played. I didn’t think it was great, but that’s a damn good team that we played. The toughest team I’ve been playing for years.”

If the fans didn’t know the name Sean Pedulla, do it now.

The Senior Rebels Guard scored 24 points with game heights, including too little at the last summer, three points too late.

Chris Beard and his Ole Miss team have to wait until next year to possibly achieve their first elite appearance in the program history.
