Martin Short and Melissa McCarthy show off their parking rage on “SNL.”

“Saturday Night Live” brought back a fan-favorite sketch, this time with a holiday twist.

Martin Short hosted the late night sketch comedy show on December 21st alongside musical guest Hozier. The episode featured the “Parking Lot Altercation” sketch, which served as a callback to Quinta Brunson’s hosting day in April 2023.

The “Abbott Elementary” star and creator appeared in a similar skit called “Traffic Altercation,” in which she and Mikey Day made animated and often inappropriate gestures while stuck in traffic on the highway.

This time, Short was competing with Day for a parking spot at a mall on the afternoon of Christmas Eve.

At the start of their conversation, the men attempt to rationally communicate that they own the space, with Day insisting that the space is his with a simple gesture, while Short claims that his turn signal is on, indicated by his aggressive blinking comes.

Tensions escalated from there, with Day claiming he was the first to reach the spot to which Short accused him of being blind. The sketch continued to take dark and inappropriate turns as their parking dispute continued without resolution. At some point, Day’s daughter, played by Chloe Fineman, got involved, albeit with some NSFW gestures.

Day accused Short of being a liar after he shared that he was disabled due to his high blood pressure and gestured with his hand that his nose was growing à la Pinocchio. Short responded by claiming that he would never lie because he was a “SuperChristian,” as evidenced by him assuming his best Superman pose and then holding out his arms as if he were standing on a cross.

Finally, Short said that if Day wouldn’t listen to him, then maybe he would listen to his wife, portrayed by Melissa McCarthy. Although Day did not initially see Short’s wife, McCarthy immediately arrived on the scene and began banging on the passenger side window.

“Leave immediately, otherwise I’ll kill you,” she threatened the father-daughter duo. “And I’ll let your stupid daughter watch.”

After the threats increased, McCarthy paused to take a sip of iced coffee before promptly spitting it out the window.

Day and Fineman could barely hold themselves together as McCarthy used her chest to wipe the drink off the window, pausing every few seconds to glare at them before pressing her chest against the window again. At one point she even licked a line off the window to get a better look at the duo before sneaking away.

That was the final straw as Day eventually ceded the spot to Short, who seemed overjoyed with the win.

McCarthy wasn’t the only celebrity cameo in last night’s episode.

The show began with a star-studded cold open, with Short being inducted into the Five-Timers Club.

The skit featured several members of the club, including Tom Hanks, Paul Rudd, Tina Fey, Alec Baldwin, Scarlett Johansson, Kristen Wiig, Emma Stone and John Mulaney.

Despite not being a member of the club, Jimmy Fallon presented Short with his honorary purple velvet jacket and Colin Jost tried to enter with his wife Johansson, but she ditched him for the party and slammed the door in his face.

Rudd appeared in several skits throughout the night, including during the “Sábado Gigante Christmas Special” alongside Marcello Hernández and as himself during the “Christmas Airport Parade.” McCarthy played a gate agent in the sketch, while Hanks appeared not as himself but as Captain Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger, a reference to the 2016 film “Sully.”
