Match Day at the University of Utah School of Medicine – Deseret News

On Friday, students from the University of the University of Utah School of Medicine learned where they will live and work in the next few years, while they completed the residence during the annual match day ceremony.

The class of the medical faculty of 2025 has applied for residency programs in hospitals across the country that specialize in areas such as pediatrics, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology as well as emergency medicine, to name just a few.

In the weeks before the match day, the students completed an application process that included their top selection for Residency programs. Based on interviews and applications, these programs viewed the students who selected them as their top selection. If the preferred program accepts the student, it is a match.

According to the university, you will find some funny statistics on this year’s group here:

Number of states that students agree with: 34.

Number of residency programs that match: 107.

Number of specialties with: 24.

Percentage of the student, which corresponded to basic care: 41%.

Number of students who complete all or part of their training in Utah: 37.
