Altoona police would like to remind everyone that the man charged with murder in the shooting death of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson was arrested in Altoona, Pennsylvania, not Iowa. In a Facebook post from Altoona, Iowa, police praised the first whistleblower who spotted suspect Luigi Mangione at a McDonald’s restaurant in Altoona, Pennsylvania, and the officers in Altoona, Pennsylvania who took him into custody.
