Meghan Trainor can no longer smile because of “too much Botox.”

Meghan Trainor admitted she went too far with Botox but has other plastic surgery plans for the future.

On the Workin’ On It with Meghan Trainor & Ryan Trainor podcast last month, she revealed that she “got too much Botox and I need help.”

“Someone convinced me, with my small lips, that if you do a lip flip and put the filler right above your upper lip, you could have a nice flip on your upper lip. And I could have one for the first time in my 30 years of life – that wasn’t true,” she said, explaining that she had had Botox on her forehead “a few times.”

She added: “I can’t smile anymore” and demonstrated on camera: “See, this is as big as I can smile.”

Trainor’s brother Ryan admitted he teased her a little about not being able to smile, and she said, “I can’t miss that.”

“Everywhere I go I can’t smile. It hurts my face to smile even if I even try,” she added.

The “lip flip” procedure Trainor is referring to is a non-surgical method of making the lips appear fuller by injecting Botox into the corners of the mouth and the edges of the lips, causing the muscles around the upper lip to relax and appear “tilt” upwards. According to the Cleveland Clinic, they look larger than normal.

Trainor’s brother was sympathetic toward his sister after the teasing, saying they were told they had beautiful smiles as a family, “so we don’t have to adjust anything.”

“Do you know what that taught me? It showed me that my smile lights up a room, and when it’s not there, it’s a dim light,” Trainor said. “I feel like I’m not happy because I can’t smile.”
