Meghan Trainor ‘can’t smile anymore’: Singer says the reason is ‘too much Botox’

Meghan Trainor, the well-known singer behind hits like “Made You Look” and “Mother,” opened up about her experience with cosmetic procedures on a recent episode of her “Workin’ on It” podcast. Joined by her husband Daryl Sabara and brother Ryan Trainor, the 30-year-old opened up about the overuse of Botox and how it has affected her ability to smile.

“I’ve had too much Botox and I need help,” Meghan admitted with a laugh. “I screwed up. I’ve had Botox a few times, just on my forehead.” Despite initial compliments on her “rested” appearance, Meghan’s experiments with Botox didn’t stop there. She was encouraged to try a “lip flip” procedure to make her upper lip look fuller and said: “Someone convinced me with my small lips that it would give me a nice flip. It wasn’t true.”

The singer then revealed an unexpected result of her cosmetics adventure. “I can’t smile anymore. “Look, this is as big as I can smile,” she said while demonstrating it on camera. Meghan’s brother Ryan recalled a humorous moment during a visit to Home Goods when he told her bluntly: “Brother, you can’t smile.” Reflecting on his candid comment, Meghan added: “And now I can’t ignore. Everywhere I go, the smile on my face hurts.”

To further illustrate her point, Meghan shared a photo of herself holding a puppy during a recent visit to a dog shelter. “I am a happy person here. I keep a puppy. But I look like I smelled someone’s fart,” she joked.

Lessons learned

Meghan used her platform to reflect on her experiences with cosmetic procedures. “Don’t try everything,” she advised listeners. The Lips Are Movin’ singer expressed his regret but maintained a lighthearted tone throughout the discussion.

Breast enlargement plans

In the same podcast episode, Meghan also announced plans to have a breast augmentation. After becoming a mother to sons Riley, 3, and Barry, 1, she explained how her body changed after pregnancy. “My mother’s breasts were full of milk and now they are empty. They got big, they got smaller, and now I’ve lost weight, leaving saggy sacs as breasts,” she said candidly. Trying on outfits for upcoming performances further solidified her decision. “I have to wear the most supportive bras and that can ruin the outfit,” Meghan explained. She added: “I always joked that I can’t wait to get a boob job. I’ve wanted this my whole life.” Meghan Trainor’s openness about her journey has resonated with many fans and is a reminder of the importance of self-acceptance and dealing with the pressures of public life. “It’s all part of the process,” she concluded. “I’m still learning and I’m okay with that.”
