Merrie Monarch Festival Royal Parade, which is to be broadcast on Nā Leo TV

(Bivn) – The 62nd annual Merrie Monarch Festival Royal Parade takes place on Saturday in the city center of Hilo and the event will be broadcast live.

Nā Leo TV says that it is an honor to present the living, exclusive program and stream of the annual parade, which calls “an estimated tradition of the solemnity of Hawaiian culture, art and Aloha spirit”.

The parade should start at 10:30 a.m. HST.

This beloved event will take place on Saturday, April 26, 2025 and offers Pa’u Riders, Floats, Hula Hālau, marching bands and community groups that proceed through Hilo’s historic inner city. The program will continuously record and voluntarily grasp at any moment of this cultural celebration and the audience near and far offers the chance to experience the magic of the Merrie Monarch Royal Parade.

Spectators in Hawai’i Island can adjust to the TV -TV channel 54 (spectrum) in NA Leo, while others can stream the parade for free at Naleo.tv or on Facebook at @Nalotv.

In live reporting, Jackie Pualani Johnson and Pomai Longakit, whose real-time commentary, will give the storytelling and cultural importance of the performances and participants, give a depth and insight into the live reporting.

Due to the Parade route, it will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the city center of Hilo -Strasse from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Merrie Monarch Festival website The Kamhameha Avenue is closed from the Pauahi Street to the Suisan Bridge. The following streets are also closed:

  • Bayfront Highway (both directions – traffic through Hilo Bayfront Park) withdrawn)
  • Pauahi Street
  • Kīlauea Avenue (between Pauahi Street and Ponahawai Street)
  • Keawe Street
  • Waianuene Avenue

Parking is also strictly forbidden along the entire parade route and the adjacent streets during the closure periods.
