Metairie mother accused of leaving 1-year-old child in car while shopping

A Metairie mother was arrested after she was accused of leaving her 1-year-old son in a car while shopping in Kenner. According to Kenner police, on Nov. 27, people shopping in the 3500 block of Williams Boulevard saw a 1-year-old boy trying to crawl out of the sunroof of a car. Kenner police removed the child from the car. The child was fine and his mother, Azreil Rahman, was found shopping at a store, according to police. Rahman was arrested and faces child abduction charges. According to police, the child was taken in by relatives.
