Michael Gallup intends to make NFL -comeback after a short retirement

The Las Vegas Raiders published the broad recipient Michael Gallup from the list of reserves that the 29-year-old wants to celebrate an NFL comeback in 2025.

Gallup abruptly retired a day before the start of the Raider’s training camp last year. He resigned from football after signing a one-year contract worth up to $ 3 million at the Raiders on April 30th and took part in OTAS and Minicamp.

Before Gallup came to the Raiders to fight for the team’s No. 3 recipient, he was released by Dallas, where he had spent six seasons and achieved a total of 266 catches for 3,744 yards and 21 touchdowns.

As a cowboy, his best season came in 2019 when he got 66 passes for 1,107 yards and six touchdowns in 14 games. It was the only season that Gallup recorded at least 1,000 meters.

After Gallup torn the front cruciate ligament in his left knee at the end of the 2021 season, the cowboys signed it to five-year-old $ 57.5 million in 2022.

He had 73 catches for 842 yards and six touchdowns and did not record a 100-yard game in the regular 2022 and 2023 season.

The Raiders also plan to publish the start center Andre James at the beginning of the new league year, said sources ESPN to confirm an NFL network report.

James signed a three-year contract of $ 24 million in the last low season, but played in 13 games during the 2024 campaign (11 starts).

Las Vegas will save 1.5 million US dollars in Cap Space.

The move opens the door for Jackson Powers-Johnson to start in the middle. In his rookie year, Powers-Johnson played 400 offensive snapshots in the center and 504 at Wache. He was one of the top centers of the nation that came from Oregon, where he was Rimington Trophy winner and unanimously all-American in 2023.
