In addition, the US Army Corps of Engineers observes the forecast of this weekend and how this affects the dam systems, lakes and rivers.
Here are the areas that the Army Corps observed.

  • Due to the high volume of the expected precipitation, the navigation at Cheatham Lock can be affected by this weekend, with potential short -term restrictions or closures taking about two to three days.
  • The USA’s Storage Reservoirs by J. Percy Priest, Center Hill, Dale Hollow and Wolf Creek currently have empty flood areas and can see quick increases in the Seehandel when they hold back the flood. These waters are slowly released after the rain is over to prepare them for future events.
  • Cordell Hull, Old Hickory and Cheaham dams have no built-in flood storage and have to release the water that gets into them. This can be done with your spillway goals or hydropower turbines, depending on the dam and how much water you have to release.

Wilson County Rotary Clubs donate a 100,000. Book to local schools

A village is needed! Hats off the Wilson County Rotary Clubs for investing in our children in such a tangible way. Place 100,000 books in the hands of small learners is something to celebrate. I love keeping the books in a bank vault – they are really invaluable!
