He died in a hospital early Saturday for injuries that he had suffered in his local residence on Friday. Details of the incident are examined by the local authorities.

“In the name of the university and our entire department, we would like to express our condolences to the family, friends and teammates from Todric,” said Patrick Ransdell, director of Missouri athletics. “This tragedy shaken our football program down to the core, and we want you to know that we are here to support you in every respect in this extremely difficult time.”

The McGee, who came from Wichita, Kansas, completed the Wichita Northwest High School. He was 21 years old and entered his fifth season at the Missouri State Football program. He was the starting safety of the bears in 2023 and 2024 and received all-Conference honors in 2023.

“Our football family is shocked and mourns the loss of gravel,” said Ryan Beard, head coach of the Bären football. “We ask everyone to respect the privacy of his family and our Mostate football team at this time when we start the healing process. Praying with us for Todric and the people who loved him.”

According to Ransdell, the grief consulting services are immediately available for employees and athletes.

During his time as a bear, McGee received the honor of:
