MLB 2025: Early NL -Ost -St -Nistress Tranks for Phillies, Mets, Braves

Let’s call it the first big intradivision showdown from 2025: The Philadelphia Phillies at the New York Mets for three games from Monday. Thanks to Pete Alonso and a surprisingly dominant pitching rod that leads the majors in the era, the Mets have a hot start. They lead a lead of two games over the Phillies, which were driven by the confidante 1-2 strike by Bryce Harper and Kyle Schwarber and a new starter in Jesus Luzardo, who has so far looked like one of the best acquisitions of the off-season.

While winning the National League East is not necessarily a must for the post-season, the early depth in the NL-West with four potential playoff teams indicates that only one EAST team could make the playoffs what makes these head-to-head matchup even more important.

Let us examine some of the early storylines for the METS and Phillies and how they could decide the NL costs-and no, we do not want to ignore the Atlanta Braves that can transform into a race with three teams with three teams over the next five months.
