Morgan Wallen’s ex KT Smith splits from husband Luke Scornavacco after 9 months

Morgan Wallen’s ex Katie “KT” Smith has split from her husband Luke Scornavacco after nine months of marriage.

In an Instagram Stories post on Tuesday, January 14, the 30-year-old social media influencer announced that she and Scornavacco were going their separate ways.

“As difficult as this is to share, I know many of you are invested in our relationship since we posted a lot together early in our relationship,” Smith wrote.

She continued, “I wanted to give you an update… especially since we’ve both been plagued with questions. And that is completely understandable. Luke and I have decided to part ways.”

Smith then revealed that she was keeping the details of their breakup private.

“We won’t reveal anything about it because there really isn’t much to reveal. “We both have to do what’s best for ourselves and Indigo while he’s as young as he is,” she added, referring to her four-year-old son, whom she shares with 31-year-old Wallen, with whom she has dated on and off from 2016 to 2019.

Smith then noted that there was “nothing but love on both sides” and that no one had done anything “wrong.”

“We just haven’t worked out in a while, and we both need to be the best versions of ourselves,” she added, noting that they still “cheer each other on from a distance.”

In March 2024, the former couple announced their engagement on Instagram, sharing a series of photos from their proposal at Magnolia Farms in Eagleville, Tennessee. Smith wore a long white dress as she stood under a floral arch with her then-boyfriend down on one knee in front of her, holding a ring box in his hands.

Other snaps showed the couple posing with family members, including Smith’s son, and a close-up of Smith’s square diamond engagement ring.

Smith captioned the post: “Why save the good things for later ❤️‍🔥.”

In April 2024, Smith and Scornavacco shared a video documenting the romantic proposal. “03/29/24: When dreams became reality ✨,” they captioned the post, praising jewelry brand Brilliant Earth, “who took what we ever expected from a dream ring to a higher level 🫶🏼.”

Just days before Wallen was arrested after allegedly throwing a chair from the roof of a Nashville bar on April 7, Smith and Scornavacco tied the knot, sharing the surprising news in a joint Instagram post that sparked a series of snapshots from what appeared to be an engagement shoot.

Smith teased, “Swipe for a surprise” in the caption and shared an additional image that wasn’t part of the set. Instead, it was a selfie in which the then-couple posed together while showing off a marriage license from the Wilson County Clerk’s Office in Tennessee.
