Murder suspect Camilla found hiding in the kitchen cupboard and arrested

CAMILLA, Ga. (WALB) – With the help of multiple agencies, a Camilla murder suspect has been arrested.

Authorities were searching for 18-year-old Ter’ryon Martin, who was wanted in connection with a murder that occurred on Wednesday, October 30, in Camilla.

On Tuesday, December 3, the US Marshals Service, GBI, Camilla Police Department and Mitchell County Sheriff’s Office located and arrested Martin at a residence in the 4000 block of Back Nine Road in Pelham. He was found hiding in a screwed kitchen cupboard.

Martin faces the following charges in the death of Kelvin Church:

  • Vicious murder
  • felony murder
  • Serious bodily harm
  • Possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony

His father, Terry Phillip Martin, 39, was also arrested and charged with one felony count: hindering the apprehension of a fugitive.

Both were booked into the Mitchell County Jail.
