Since children spend a lot of time online every day, parents need to understand how to identify where predators are lurking and how to protect their children.

On Thursday at 7 p.m., New Jersey 101.5 will present a special town hall program titled “Targeted: Protecting New Jersey Children from Online Predators,” which will address the online child predator crisis and the impact on children and parents.

WOODBRIDGE — The race for New Jersey governor in 2025 is close, with multiple candidates on both sides of the political spectrum.

Five of those candidates gathered on stage Wednesday before hundreds of New Jersey employers and business leaders.

So they say they will make New Jersey better if you elect them to be the next governor.

TRENTON – A New Jersey correctional officer has admitted to beating a sex offender who died of a stroke days later.

Giuseppe Mandara, 55, of Brick, pleaded guilty to third-degree aggravated assault at a hearing Tuesday in Union County.

As part of his plea deal, Mandara lost his job and was barred from any future public office or work.

The plea deal resolves an official misconduct charge that would have resulted in a mandatory minimum sentence. The grand jury that reviewed the case declined to indict him for murder.

NJ Transit and Amtrak riders affected by Monday’s suspension of service should receive an “immediate” refund, according to U.S. Rep. Frank Pallone, D-N.J. 6th district.

Service on the Northeast Corridor, owned and maintained by Amtrak, and NJ Transit’s North Jersey Coast Line has been suspended due to overhead line problems at the Swift signal box in Kearny. There were delays on both lines for the rest of the day. According to NJ Transit, the problem was a pantograph on the roof of a train.

Recent drone sightings in the skies over New Jersey took a serious turn when the landing of a medical helicopter had to be postponed.

Firefighters in Branchburg canceled a landing at Raritan Valley Community College after a crash in the community on Nov. 26 because of the drones, Brian Serge, the college’s safety officer, told NJ.com. Serge said he had not received any additional information.
