Natalie Cochran was found guilty due to murder’s first degree

Beckley, W.Va. (WVVA) – The jury has made a judgment in the Natalie Cochran process.

The jury left the courtroom at 9:34 a.m. to decide whether to condemn Natalie Cochran for first -time murder or not, and the verdict was read around 11:30 a.m.

After 9 days in court, the jury of Natalie Cochran was guilty of murder’s first degree.

Natalie Cochran was charged with the first degree murder after the death of her husband Michael Cochran. The public prosecutor claimed that she had poisoned him with insulin because he was afraid that he found out about a Ponzi program for which she was currently serving for 11 years in prison.

“She is guilty. We knew that all the time, but until 12 good citizens of Raleigh County determine that they don’t know the result, ”said Tom Truman, prosecutor of Raleigh County.

In this case, Truman gave the investigators a lot of recognition. He says that the mountain of evidence that gathered against Natalie Cochran ultimately proved to be a smoking weapon of the state.

On the other hand, Natalie’s lawyers were shocked when the verdict came down.

“The state could not say what, how and why, but they know that the jury spoke,” said Matthew Victor.

“And even when could they actually not say when,” added Stanley Selden.

“We have the conviction phase. We will expand that at the end of the merciful phase, ”said Victor.

The family of Natalie and Michael Cochran became emotional for various reasons after reading the judgment. Donna and Ed Bolt, Michael’s mother and stepfather, divided a brief explanation after the verdict was announced.

“We would only like to thank you for your prayers. It’s been a long time. February 11, 2025, is six years in which Michael Brandon was murdered, ”said Donna. “This was a very long, hard fight. We only thank everyone and God’s plan was fulfilled today. Justice is done for Michael Brandon. “

“We just want to say that we stay strong in our belief and that Natalie Cochran was held accountable and justice was delivered to Michael,” said Ed.

The court will meet on Thursday to decide whether Natalie Cochran is entitled to probation after a period of time or whether it will spend the rest of her life in prison without the chance of probation.
